About the Artist: Tracy Tubera, also known as the ÜBER ILLUSTRATOR SUPREME, brings a unique mix of graffiti, anime, and comic book art to his creations. His artwork is characterized by sharp, crisp line work and vibrant pop colors. Tracy combines pop culture imagery, his love for sneakers, Super Heroes, and humor to create captivating visuals that are truly his own.
Artist Statement: Cletus, aka Carnage, is a character that has always fascinated me. I've always been drawn to the design and colors of sneakers, which is similar to my love for comic books and Super Heroes. Both sneakers and Super Heroes have their own "Secret Origins" that inspired me to explore their commonalities. These vinyl figures, known as S.H.S. (Super Heroes in Sneakers), bring together two distinct cultures to create a visually stunning fusion that challenges expectations.
The spawn of the alien symbiote Venom and the blood of the serial killer Cletus Kasady, Carnage is a deadly villain with a thirst for murder. This new red and black symbiote was created with a single purpose: to kill. Carnage often finds himself in conflict with Spider-Man and Venom, requiring the combined efforts of both heroes to stop his reign of terror. When designing Cletus, I wanted to capture his rage and the symbiote's aggressive nature flowing around him. I aimed to depict Cletus in a moment of madness, ready to strike. His sneakers had to reflect his aggressive and masterful design, representing a cold-blooded killer on the hunt for his prey—Spider-Man and Venom. These three characters are forever connected in a powerful trifecta.
