King Julien XIII, the self-proclaimed king of the lemurs, makes his Youtooz debut with a playful vinyl collectible built around the unforgettable energy of Madagascar. Standing approximately 4.8 inches tall, this figure captures Julien in his most recognisable state: dancing, smiling and completely committed to having a good time. His expressive face features wide yellow eyes with orange detailing, a broad open smile and raised brows, while his large pointed ears frame the character's distinctive lemur silhouette.

The sculpt is packed with character-specific details, from King Julien's green, yellow and orange royal crown to his textured grey body, lighter belly, oversized feet and dramatically curled black-and-grey striped tail. One hand is raised in a celebratory gesture while the other swings naturally at his side, giving the figure a sense of movement even in a static display. Finished in Youtooz's recognisable stylised vinyl aesthetic, this is an appealing choice for Madagascar fans, DreamWorks collectors, Youtooz enthusiasts and anyone building a colourful animated-character display.

Character Design & Display Appeal

King Julien is one of the most immediately recognisable characters in the Madagascar franchise, and this Youtooz interpretation focuses on exactly what makes him such a memorable character: exaggerated personality, expressive body language and an unmistakable visual silhouette.

The green, yellow and orange crown is particularly prominent, extending upward and outward from the top of Julien's head while sitting between his long pointed ears. The crown gives the figure an unmistakable royal identity while also adding strong colour contrast against his predominantly grey body.

His face carries the playful attitude associated with King Julien. The large yellow eyes, orange eye accents, raised eyebrows and broad open smile give the figure an energetic expression, while the sculpted mouth adds additional character to the pose. The hands and feet are deliberately oversized in keeping with the stylised Youtooz aesthetic.

The body also receives considerable attention. Sculpted fur texture runs across the grey torso and limbs, while the lighter belly provides a contrasting central section. His long legs lead into large feet, giving the figure a grounded stance despite the impression that Julien is caught mid-dance.

Perhaps the most visually distinctive element is the large striped tail, which curves outward from behind the body. Its alternating dark and light bands create a strong graphic element that remains visible from multiple display angles.

Madagascar-Themed Collector Packaging

The presentation extends the character's environment beyond the figure itself. The exterior packaging depicts King Julien dancing in front of a fruit-lined throne, reflecting his self-appointed royal status and his connection to the lemur kingdom.

Inside, the artwork evokes the sandy beaches and blue ocean waters of Madagascar, creating a setting that connects the collectible to the wider animated franchise. The protective sleeve continues the tropical theme with dense green foliage and bright pink flowers.

A large clear window provides a direct view of King Julien, making the package suitable for collectors who prefer in-box display as well as those who remove their figures from the packaging.

The included matte, embossed protective outer sleeve and custom-sized plastic protector provide an additional layer of protection for collectors who want to preserve the original presentation.

Why Add King Julien to Your Collection?

This collectible is particularly well suited to fans who grew up with the Madagascar films, collectors of DreamWorks Animation merchandise and enthusiasts of stylised vinyl figures. King Julien's exaggerated dance pose also gives him a different visual character from conventional neutral-display collectibles.

At just under five inches tall, he can easily be integrated into a Youtooz display, Madagascar collection, DreamWorks shelf, animation memorabilia setup or general pop-culture vinyl collection. His bright crown, expressive face and curled striped tail also make him a strong standalone display piece.

For collectors building a Madagascar-themed lineup, King Julien provides one of the franchise's most recognisable personalities in a compact format that stays faithful to the playful spirit of the character while fitting naturally into Youtooz's modern collectible design language.
