In the great echo of parallel destinies, the life of Shalla-Bal in this realm mirrored her Earth-616 self—a love tethered to the infinite cosmos and a heart forever drawn to Norrin Radd, the Silver Surfer.
She was his beloved, his anchor from a world long lost. When Galactus—the cosmic force who had once enslaved the Surfer—was destroyed, Norrin faced a revelation too immense to ignore: Galactus, in all his hunger, was a necessary constant in the cosmic balance. The universe demanded a successor.
So, with the guidance of the High Evolutionary, and the reluctant blessing of Franklin Richards, they channeled evolution into godhood. Franklin's mutation was accelerated, his identity dissolved. He became the new Galactus—not just in power, but in mind, forgetting the boy he had once been.
As the new Galactus emerged, shaped by necessity, he rewarded loyalty with grace. The Silver Surfer and Shalla-Bal were finally reunited. And in a gift only the cosmos could bestow, she was transformed—infused with the Power Cosmic, equal in radiance to her love. Together, they soared as twin heralds, twin lights in service of the new balance.
But peace is fleeting among the stars.
When Galactus was summoned back to Earth to confront the towering judgment of the Celestials, fate struck. In the crucible of that battle, Shalla-Bal fell. Her light was extinguished amid the cosmic war.
Grief wrapped itself around Norrin Radd. Earth bore witness to his mourning, as he stood beneath the towering Human Torch monument in New York City—a silent prayer to lost love. In a final act of sacrifice, the Surfer surrendered his own existence, passing the Power Cosmic to Mar-Vell. Death embraced him.
But death is not always the end.
Within the stillness of the Realm of the Dead, their souls found each other once more. Shalla-Bal and Norrin Radd—together again in a place beyond time. Yet as the great fabric of reality shifted with the death of Death itself, their whereabouts slipped into myth. They have not been seen since.
Their love, however, continues to ripple across the stars.
(Based on her transformation into a Silver Surfer)
Power Cosmic: She likely wielded the same cosmic force that bends space, matter, and time—allowing her to manipulate energy, transmute elements, and affect life forces.
Interstellar Travel: Shalla-Bal would have soared faster than light, able to cross galaxies without need for ships, oxygen, or sustenance—her body a beacon among stars.
Cosmic Awareness: Imbued with a near-omniscient perception of the universe, sensing celestial shifts and existential threats that defy mortal comprehension.
Energy Projection: She could have released destructive or healing energy blasts, reshaping the battlefield or restoring shattered forms.
Invulnerability: Like Norrin Radd, her Silver Form would grant her near-indestructibility, immune to heat, radiation, vacuum, and most forms of physical harm.
Matter Manipulation: The ability to restructure the molecular fabric of matter—stone to light, flame to frost—guided by cosmic will.
Telepathy and Empathy: Potential for deep mental connection, possibly allowing her to communicate across vast distances or share thoughts without words.
